After my wife and kids are safe, this is the first thing I'm taking out of my house in a fire. When I was 11 my dad and step mom took me on a road trip that included a stop at Tiger Stadium. Prior to the trip, I chased Sweet Lou around the Kingdome as I always did when the Tigers were here, and I told him my dad was taking me to Detroit. Right before the game I hollered at him when he was playing catch with Cecil Fielder and Tony Phillips. He recognized me, and threw me the ball. My step mom was sitting a few rows back and snapped a picture right as I caught it. We had the picture blown up, and everyone in it sign it (Except Tanana, never caught up with him after that). I later had Lou sign the ball also, and of course that is still in my collection as well.

This is the pinnacle of my collection but it won't be complete until I get Kaline's signature on it. It won't happen at Spring Training this year though. I hear he will be at The National Cardshow in Baltimore in August. Hopefull I will catch him then. C:\Users\Kenny Stancil\Pictures\Memorabilia\100_0761.JPG Attachments:

A few years ago when I worked for Ikon Office Solutions our leasing manager was a guy named Jeff Clark. His brother was Dwight Clark. I asked him to get him to sign this copy of Sports Illustrated for me. Jeff told him I was a Cowboys fan and this is how he signed it. This is one of my favorites even though he was a Yankee. In 1986 we went to Detroit to see a Tigers/Yankees series. Billy Martin was doing radio for the Yankees. We were staying at the Omni Hotel and one night we saw Billy in the bar. It took a long time before we went up and talked to him because we didn't know if we would piss him off but he was one of the nicest people I ever met. He talked to us for about a half hour. He was there with another guy about his age (not a ballplayer) and a couple of blond's that couldn't have been more than 25 years or so. I got him to sign this bar napkin for me.
