The season is now less than 2 weeks away with the keepers due in 1 week. That said:
So what is the schedule for the Minor League draft?
Will it be the same as last year with the Commish manually managing it a few days after the main draft? Is it a separate e-mail for each round?
Does the minor league draft order match the overall draft?
If there is a player on the existing minor league roster that we want to keep in the minors, do we announce that as part of the minor league draft (for instance in the $5 minor league round, if I have a $5 player already what do I need to do?
The overall draft is on March 24. What happens if the major league team has not yet announced who is getting sent down. Can I simply keep the player in my minors, procedd with the normal draft, and then add-drop as necessary if the player does move up?
Looking forward to the season.

Hey Mike... I'll run through your questions. If I miss something, let me know!
The Minor League Draft will begin on Monday March 19. It will be handled the same as last year, with each participating team submitting a list of players in relation to their draft position (4th pick submit a list of 4). You will get the highest available player on the list. The list for round 1 will be due by 9pm pacific on 3/19. Round 2 by 9pm on 3/20, and round 3 by 9pm on 3/21.
I will update proboards as I am able to... so check that often on each day as you may not need to send a list of 10 guys if you pick 10th. Picks 1-9 may already be posted.
The order for the minor league draft will be in reverse order of the standings from 2011. I will post that within a day or two. The rounds will not "snake" - the order will remain the same for each of the three rounds.
If you intend to keep a minor league player, that is to be submitted with your keeper list.
If a player is not announced as getting sent down, he can be kept in the minors and added/dropped/activated later if necessary.
I think I touched on everything....

Chris - Since keepers were delayed until Tuesday, will the minor league draft be delayed? I would assume so since there still may be changes in which minor leaguers are kept.
Note that I do plan on participating. After trading my $3 and $5 minor leaguers yesterday, I only have $7 Trout still on my roster. In this case, I do not plan on submitting for the $7 tier (1st round). If he is put on the major league roster to start the season, will I be unable to fill the $7 slot?
Thanks. Mike

I dont think I'll push the minors draft back any - I'll still start it on Monday 3/26.
If Trout does start the season in the MLB you would not be able to pick up a new $7 slot. THe way around it would be to count him among your MLB keepers and have him on your active roster to begin the year. If you have the cap space, that may be the smart play, since he will undoubtedly be active and contributing in the bigs this year. Then you can use that 1st round pick.

This kind of goes along with the question I asked earlier today about keepers. On one of my possible lists of keepers I am at 250 but with the picks I have available at the end of the draft I would only have 34 players. So instead of grabbing someone off the waiver can I just activate one of my minors players as my 35th guy after the draft is over and then replace him in the minors draft next week?

Another question based on your explanation above. If I keep Trout as a minor leaguer, do I count the $7 against my $250. (As you noted above, if he is a major leaguer he costs $7 but seemed to imply that if he was a minor leaguer it was no cost.) Also. the March 26 date works well. Thanks.

Also if I read how it is worded in the constitution is this how the minor league draft order will be?
1-Durham 2-Carolina 3-Alexandria 4-Chicago 5-Marysville 6-North Carolina 7-SanDiego 8-Tatooine 9-Milwaukee 10-D'Town 11-Raleigh 12-Hanover

Your close kenny. The only difference is that the final four spots are in reverse order of finish in playoffs. I hope to have the complete minors draft board posted tomorrow, with keepers represented in their corresponding slots.
