What does everything think of the new CBS "Facebook" layout? I responded to CBS's Provide Feedback prompt. I have pasted my feedback to CBS below. I guess I will have to also put it one the other website so I can find my response in the future without paging through pages of player updates and other information. Bottomline - keep your Facebook off my Fantasy Baseball!
If you do like the new format, let us know what it is you like also. I may just be getting too old and persnikity (spelling?).
Following is my note to CBS:
You asked for feedback. I really dislike the first 2 columns. It seems it includes all updates for my players combined with misc comments and add-drops. It seems to be infinitely long going down pages and pages. Every player update takes up 3-4 inches of space. Worse yet, the transactions all take up 2 inches. I can not only see the headlines of player news and just have one screen to get a quick view of player headlines, transactions, league news, and the chatbox.
Bottomline, I am unable to do a quick one minute glance of the home page to get an overview of what has happened from one screen. I need to call up multiple screens to just get a usable listing of information. Horrible, hard to use, and non-user friendly.
You have provided one more giant reason to move to ESPN for Fantasy Baseball. I now am paying extra for this mess when I can have free baseball at ESPN? I may be an old timer who has never bought into the uselessness of Facebook, but it is us old baseball fans who are willing to pay money for Fantasy Baseball. The younger fans you are trying to attract back from ESPN are at ESPN for one reason - it is free! A simple facelift may be appealing to them but is it worth alienating those of us who grew up having to pay for fantasy leagues.
As a minimum, give me an option to include the old format. In the words of Generation X - give me back Classic Coke!!!!
