Can we add a roster spot for SUSPENDED,BEREAVEMENT players?...limited to 2?
This is another way to keep lineups fairly managed and avoid dead spots causing playoff and weekly outcomes to be tainted.

I can see a suspended spot, but I'm not worried about Bereavement spot.
I don't like the idea of having a roster spot hogged up by a useless (suspended) player. Bereavement, is usually a few days at the most. I don't think this is anything to really worry about (and I play with a minimal hitting staff)

I agree with you Doug but I think the spot on CBS is for both that is why I mentioned it that way. Bereavement is 3 days away from team according to MLB rules.

I don't think the 3 day Bereavement leave is worth the 50 cents to pick up a player. But I agree. I think it should be one spot for suspended only though.

There really is no way to track this, as CBS does not have a spot to put a suspended player. I am also hesitant to agree with this, as I think this takes away from some of the managerial skill required. If a player gets suspended, it's decision time for the manager who owns him. Roster him or replace him. And bereavement players the same. Smart roster management, and having bench players that are not pitchers to cover someone who is on leave is part of the game in my opinion.

I do not like a suspended spot. I like the way that you just have to deal with it. It seems realistic and requires more active participation. With unlimited DL spots, we have more than enough bench. It is part of the challenge when you have to do some roster moves hoping you can pick someone up a few days later.
