Jack Fendrick - If we get somebody from out west would we switch the division of the Beetles and Lakeland? Jan 23, 2014 10:50 AM ET
Joe Molinaro - Makes sense to me to have east coast / west coast. Sent from my iPhone Jan 23, 2014 10:53 AM ET
Doug Lew - I thought it was random (mainly based off of place standings from 2012)? If we went to a east and west coast, it might be harder to switch up divisions if we wanted in the future. Jan 23, 2014 3:26 PM ET
Joe Molinaro - Not sure really, when I won I had my rivals in my division. At 1 time I was in The other division too.... Sent from my iPhone Jan 23, 2014 3:31 PM ET
Mike Fendrick - I am a fan of dads and sons in the same division. More games for smack talk. Jan 23, 2014 6:43 PM ET
Joe Molinaro - Yes!! Us Dads rule!!!! Sent from my iPhone Jan 23, 2014 6:46 PM ET

The divisions are based upon the 2012 standings, but actually worked out pretty close to an east/west format. The new team will remain in the same division, but we can reassess after 2014.

Reset the divisions every few years and use the playoffs to set the divisions?

The plan is to reassess after 2014 - make sure the divisions are equally competitive. Usually I check that by adding together the total wins and losses for the division. If both divisions are close to .500, then there is no need for a change. If one division has a .600 overall and the other below .500, then obviously a change needs to be made. I won't let this league turn out like the Eastern/Western conference split in the NBA.
