I was thinking, what is the incentive to get 5th place? IF you get 6th place, you get better draft position for the following season.
How about go back to $2 a week for high score and turn 4th place into $60 or so and $50 for 5th?

I am in favor of 5th getting the higher draft pick. I will implement that change immediately unless anyone has a valid objection.

with so many teams I think a 5th place prize would be a good move and 6th would get the higher pick

I like how the money is split up right now. I vote for 5th/6th battling for the higher draft spot.

Can we charge another 5.oo team so that this would kick a 5th place prize in?
I think that the longer you have things to play for less teams will unload early and also will keep teams that DID NOT change lineups or put guys on ir etc when they were buried, then when playoff started they made changes to play for a 1st pick....

I would be in favor of this we well, raise the league dues by $5. I would then increase the weekly high score to $3, put a 5th place prize of $55 in (Basically earn dues back), and put the extra $4 towards 4th place - or something along those lines.

awesome....with all these teams you have a 36% chance to win a yearly prize....
and that way even a buried team has a chance to knock on the prize door

Whether or not we increase the buy in to reward 5th place, I have made an executive decision, and decided to award the 8th pick in the draft to the winner of the 5th/6th place matchup. The 8th place finisher in the consolation tourney will get the 9th pick, and the loser of the 5th/6th matchup gets the 10th pick. This will begin in the 2014 season.
